Potoroo Palace is a not for profit organisation whose aim is to improve the habitats and wellbeing of the native animals already in our care and to promote public awareness of their plight in the wild and to educate the community about the importance of the conservation of our unique Australian native animals and plants.

Happy Paws Haven's vision is to provide a safe haven for abandoned animals, to nurse them back to health both physically and mentally and to give them opportunity to find their special 'forever home'. The haven is more than just a traditional animal welfare shelter; it's more of a rehabilitation and re-homing centre.

.Vali Myers was a Warrior Child; a Wild Woman with a beautiful heart; a Wandering Spirit and an inspirational artist, once affectionately described as being 'more animal than human'. She was born on August 2, 1930, in a little house in Tincombe Street , Canterbury , Sydney. Her father was in the merchant navy and her mother a violinist from New Zealand . Scott was lucky enough to meet Vali many years ago and was deeply inspired by her fight to save the Owls that shared her valley in Italy, and her inherent love of animals in general (especially 'Foxy', her pet Fox that became her best friend for many years). Sadly, Vali died in 2003 at the age of 72. She is missed by all.

Will Elrick (Brother Will) is a very dear friend of Scott's; a guy with one leg looking to climb Mount Everest in 2008. He has already climbed the Inca trail in Peru, the Mera peak (6450m) in the Himalayas, walked the Camino de Santiago trail [878km] in 5 1/2 weeks, competed in the 100km Sydney Trailwalker race (finishing in 25 hours, beating the average two-legged time by four hours) and Aconcagua [6950m] in South America. Now he has his sights on Mt. Everest. I ask you - if a one-legged fella on crutches can climb to the top of the world ... what else is possible?
