Animal Dreaming by Scott Alexander King
Australian farmland - the growing lands Australian wilderness and bushlands Australian outback and desert The massive Australian coastline Australian cities and surrounds
The Dreamtime is the time before time - when all things were being created and when everything was 'learning' to exist. Depicting all things as equal, the teachings of the Dreamtime suggest that we are capable of communing with the forces of nature and to speak readily to the animals, birds, reptiles, fish and insects.

To BOOK IN NOW for any of Scott's Workshops, please visit the ANIMAL DREAMING ONLINE store: www.animaldreamingonline.com

My workshops endeavour to broaden our understanding of Earth Medicine by introducing the animals and all of Nature as teachers, guides and allies.

During Scott's workshops, learn how to use his books to interpret the symbolic messages of the animals that you meet in physical reality, your dreams and visions. Learn, too, how to refer to Scott's books as divination guides and sources of daily affirmation.

Scott Alexander King's intuitive and psychic connection to the animal world is truly astounding. I liken him to a 'messenger' holding a sacred key capable of unlocking one of nature's most profound secrets via the vital understanding of our precious animals. To open your heart and reason that the birds and insects of our world are willing and waiting to share a vast array of communications and techniques with humanity at this most vulnerable time. Often we pray for hope and guidance - but are we willing to listen from all levels of both the [tangible] physical and metaphysical realms? The animal medicine or message Scott conveys can assist us all in understanding subtle ways to bring about positive change in a transforming world.'

MANDALA WORKSHOP
with Karen Branchflower - the artist responsible for the best-selling ANIMAL DREAMING ORACLE CARDS

Have you always fancied yourself as a successful artist?

Well, internationally reknown artist, Karen Branchflower, has agreed to offer a one day MANDALA WORKSHOP in Warburton, VICTORIA during which she will offer you insight and direction into how to create your own Mandala, incorporating your animal totems and other sacred symbols.

'Mandala (a Sanskrit word meaning 'circle' or 'completion') is a word of Hindu origin commonly used in other Indian religions, such as Buddhism. In the Tibetan tradition of Vajrayana Buddhism, Mandalas often incorporate the art of sand-painting. Mandalas are generically seen as a plan, chart or geometric pattern that represents (on a metaphysical level) the Universe as viewed from a human perspective. Mandalas are sometimes created as a way of focusing attention, as spiritual teaching tools designed to help establish sacred space or as a way to induce a state of trance or deep meditation. On a symbolic level, Mandalas are said to help us access ever deeper levels of unconscious and to achieve a mystical sense of oneness with the Universe'. (Information Source: Wikipedia: the free online encyclopaedia)

The intention of this workshop is to see every participant express themselves as artists in their own right (despite the fact that NO PREVIOUS ART EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY). The creation of your very own Mandala, depicting symbols and design sacred to your very being, is a deeply empowering experience, particularly as the full Mandala unfolds quarter by quarter.

Warburton is located in the heart of the Yarra Valley, Victoria's wine district and rich source of delicious produce including organic meat, cheese, preserves, fruit and vegetables.

We will be right in the heart of town for most of the weekend, affording you the opportunity to experience Warburton’s award winning cafes, the famous Yarra River and some wonderful new-age gift shops.

You can visit Warburton by clicking here

During the weekend, you will experience:

Evening prayers on the Saturday night atop Mt. Donna Buang
(NB: If it is snowing, we will stop half way and offer our prayers at the ‘Rainforest Gallery’ instead). Mt. Donna Buang is a very powerful mountain overlooking Warburton, famous for its UFO sightings and as the supposed resting place of the Rainbow Serpent. Local indigenous people once trekked to the summit to be close to Spirit. If the weather conditions are favourable, we will stop on the way to collect the crystal clear mountain spring water that constantly flows from the side of the mountain. This water is revered for its mystical healing properties, with many tourists visiting Warburton for no other reason but to drink the water.

Dream Sharing Circle in Warburton’s Beautiful Memorial Park
Shaded by ancient palms and old trees and edged with stunning red roses, is Warburton’s Memorial Park. Home to a vast variety of native birds including Black Ducks, Blue Wrens, Kookaburras and King Parrots, you may even spy a domestic chicken or two strutting around! We will meet early in the morning, and at this time of day the town is still asleep. What better place to be close to Spirit than the sacred gardens dedicated to the memory of the brave men and women who gave their lives during ‘the war’ to fight for our freedom? We will meet here at 6.30am on Sunday morning to share and discuss the dreams we enjoyed on the Saturday night, before heading off for a brisk Medicine Walk along the Yarra River.

Early Morning Medicine Walk along the Yarra River
Naturally imbued with deposits of Pyrite, Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Smokey Quartz, Citrine, Milky Quartz and Clear Quartz, the Yarra River births only 15 km from Warburton. At our end, the Yarra River is home to Platypus, Water Birds and Native Fish. You would be forgiven for thinking it was a different river to the one that flows through the heart of Melbourne. The banks of the Yarra River make for a truly beautiful spot for early morning Medicine Walks. We will all meet on the banks of the Yarra River before breakfast on Sunday morning.

We will also:

  • Learn how to spiritually protect ourselves by smudging and creating 'sacred space'
  • Learn how to psychically defend ourselves, using talismans, charms and spirit pouches
  • Discuss the ethics, rules and subtleties involved in living a spiritual life
  • Practise our intuition by giving and receiving readings using flowers, crystals and Scott's Oracle Cards (among others)
  • Learn to trust our intuition by giving and receiving messages using psychometry, telepathy and psychic ability
  • Learn to trust our connection to our high selves by channelling messages our from the stones, trees, rivers and mountains
  • Learn to feel and see energy, the aura and the chakra system
  • Journey to meet our totem animals
  • Learn how to hear and trust the messages our guides and totems have to offer by 'remembering' the language of symbols
  • Experience several different healing techniques, including energetic healing and tribal systems incorporating the drum, rattle and dreamcatcher
  • Work through several visualised healing rituals incorporating animal spirits. Learn to heal the womb and cut ties by calling in the Cat, for example
  • Learn how to create your own healing elixirs and essences by calling in the spirits of plants, animals and healing stones
  • And much more

Please bring with you:

  • a small pillow/cushion (for meditation purposes)
  • a light blanket (for meditation purposes)
  • a note book / journal and a reliable pen
  • a small sketch / drawing book (optional)
  • a bottle of water
  • tissues
  • loose fitting, comfy clothes
  • your set of 'Animal Dreaming Oracle Cards' - or an alternative deck
  • your copy of 'Animal Dreaming' or 'Animal Messenger' (optional)

Lunch: A light, healthy (choice of vegetarian) lunch will be supplied on both days (catered by a local cafe).

An idea:
Those of you travelling from interstate, who would like to share the cost of a hire car, might want to network and timetable your flights so they correspond. Or you may simply want to share accommodation once you arrive in Warburton. Either way, why not post a 'call out' on the forum and organise a group to save yourselves stress and money? You can post your thoughts here. Name your post 'Warburton Residential Weekend 2008' so everyone knows what to look for.

DIRECTIONS TO WARBURTON
If you have a GPS, or a 'satellite navigation system', program your destination as '3375 Warburton Highway, Warburton 3799'

Or visit: www.whereis.com. This site offers directions and a map to any destination in Australia. Just type in the above address and hit 'get directions' or 'get map'

Or you can follow my directions (which isn't always a good idea!):

From Melbourne
Driving east towards the Dandenong Ranges, the most common route is Whitehorse Road (which becomes Maroondah Highway) to the township of Lilydale. The Warburton Highway starts about two kilometres past Lilydale ... the turn off is well sign posted. As you proceed along the Warburton Hwy you will pass through Wandin, Seville, Woori Yallock, Launching Place, Yarra Junction, Wesburn and Millgrove ... and then you will hit Warburton. As you come into Warburton ... you will see (on your left) The Patchwork Teahouse (a cafe), an old bus depot that sells Balinese stuff, tennis courts, a video store, a restaurant called 'River View' ... and then a big, tan-coloured building with Circle of Stones splashed across the top ... and you’ve arrived. The trip (from Melbourne to Warburton) should take approx two hours (give or take).

From Melbourne Airport
If you're flying into Melbourne, and can't be bothered with public transport, we advise you hire a car. A taxi trip to Warburton would cost over $200. Alternatively, catch a taxi from the airport to Flinders Street Station and then catch a train to Lilydale. From Lilydale, take a bus to Warburton. If you decide to hire a car though, the Tullamarine Freeway will take you straight into the city of Melbourne. We suggest you take the Flemington Road exit and follow the signs to the Eastern Freeway. NB: To journey along the Tullamarine Freeway you may require a 'City Pass' or ‘Tulla Pass’ (depending on where you enter or exit the Freeway). Passes may be purchased, or further information gleaned, by visiting www.citylink.com.au. From the Melbourne Airport, you will most likely only need to purchase a 'Tulla Pass', but to be sure, visit the site and click on 'Types of Passes' to determine which pass you will need. At the end of the Eastern Freeway turn right onto Springvale Road and then left onto Whitehorse Road (also known as Maroondah Highway). >From here follow Maroondah Highway to the township of Lilydale. The Warburton Hwy starts about two kilometres past Lilydale ... the turn off is well sign posted. As you proceed along the Warburton Hwy you will pass through Wandin, Seville, Woori Yallock, Launching Place, Yarra Junction, Wesburn and Millgrove until you hit Warburton.

Vision Quest in the stunning Redwood Forest
This deathly silent forest is energetically very powerful. The presence of Spirit is almost tangible. It is a rare thing to see birds or animals as it is such a sacred place. We will gather here on the Sunday at noon to sit alone and call for a vision.

WEAVE YOUR OWN DREAMCATCHER

With Scott Alexander King

According to Native American folklore, it was Grandmother Spiderwoman who sang the Universe into being by weaving the Web of Life. Grandmother Spider wove the first Dreamcatcher, a beautiful and protective web woven within a ring of willow wood. In the centre she placed a single turquoise stone, a symbol of connection to the Creative Force, clarity, peace, communication and protection.

It is said that, with the aid of the Dreamcatcher, all our dreams can be harnessed and fruitfully brought to fruition. It reminds us of the sacred role we all play as vital strands in the Web of Life. We all yearn to be in control of our lives and to make a difference to the world. We all yearn to believe in ourselves, to have faith in our abilities, to heal and realise our true potential.

Don't wait any longer - come along and weave your own Dreamcatcher and, in doing so, initiate the reweaving of your very life.

During this workshop you will:

  • Weave your very own Dreamcatcher and decorate it with crystals and feathers
  • Hear the legend of the Dreamcatcher and how it was brought to the people
  • Discover the sacred connection between the Dreamcatcher and the Universal Tapestry that is life itself

THE JOURNEY DRUM
The Drum echoes the pulse of the Earth Mother's heart. Its rhythm guides us to other dimensions, new opportunities and heightened levels of awareness. The steady beat of the Drum offers clarity and awareness and the avoidance of tunnel vision. We are often so consumed by mental and spiritual activity that we tend to neglect the tangible world, our health and other responsibilities. The Drum reminds us to tap into our inherent rhythms and to intuitively listen to what our body may be trying to tell us about our physical well-being. The Drum reinstates a sense of emotional balance, buoyancy and stability. It helps us regain a solid foothold on life and rekindle the fire in our belly so that we can make practical but long-overdue decisions potent enough to instigate powerful new beginnings. The Drum returns us to our centre; it refocuses intent and affords symbolic rebirth and renewal. It reveals our potential gifts of power, while tempering arrogance and self-importance with the grounding influence of the Earth Mother's wisdom. The Drum stabilises our emotional body and heals physical imbalance by tapping into our DNA, retrieving our sense of identity and personal truth. The Drum’s beat is reminiscent of the double heartbeat all children hear while in the womb. The power of this sound is realised audibly and vibrationally, thus realigning us on a united heart-felt level. The Drum reawakens ancient knowledge stored in the memory of all people. It nurtures us as we seek the wisdom held in store, to be remembered when we re-embrace the heartbeat of our Earth Mother. It teaches us to interpret the sacred sound frequencies that nurture memories of ancient knowledge and how to reconnect with Universal consciousness so that we may again, one day, walk as one.

The law of attraction is brilliant, but it only works when you are ready to receive. The TRUE Secret lies in the preparation and your willingness to receive and whether or not you see ourself as being worthy of receiving. If you are living a disjointed life, your ability to receive will also be disjointed. The TRUE Secret lies in the knowing that you are not alone, that you matter and that your life (and how you live it) represents an essential thread in the tapestry of life.

Archetypes are personifications of universal energy patterns. They are patterns, traits and behaviors that we all recognize; visual symbols or energetic imprints that exist in our psyches. Energetic imprints that help shape our very being.

This full day workshop is about SELF TRANSFORMATION, embracing change and our willingness to receive.

We each have a list of personal archetypes and animal allies that, if acknowledged and invoked positively, promise to unlock our pathways to success.

During this workshop you will be offered potent tools of change that will effectively allow you to answer such probing questions as

  • What do you want?
  • Who do you want to be?
  • What are you worthy / capable of?

By exploring the 'third layer' archetypes that personify what you are ultimately striving to achieve, and the animal allies and totemic influences that support this quest, you will be taken through a '3-step process' that explores:

  • Your sense of worthiness - your worthiness to receive
  • Your willingness to surrender the past and shed dis-ease
  • Your priorities - What matters to you? What do you want?

The core message of this workshop? In order to become what is important to you, you need a precise picture of what you are striving for and a list of clear priorities.

Do you have both?

Come along and find out ...

Introduction:

There are five kinds of people, each governed by their own Monkey and individual set of corresponding energies / totems / elemental influences.

Not sure if you are an INDIGO Warrior? Not sure if your child is one? Well, come along anyway, because during this seminar information regarding the 'other children' (four other kinds, in total) will be revealed - information guaranteed to offer clarity, peace and understanding to all who attend.

To read some articles about INDIGO Warrior Children written by Scott, visit the articles page here.

Or why not take a look at Scott's book, 'KIDS! Indigo Children and Cheeky Monkeys'. It offers an in-depth profile of five different personality archetypes that can help parents, carers, health care professionals and teachers better understand our kids and bring out their very best.

The INDIGO Warrior Child often demonstrates the following abilities:

  • They are often powerfully intuitive and psychically aware
  • They are sensitive and at one with animals and nature as a whole
  • They are quite often telepathic and assume that others can hear their thoughts (so do not assume your child is being rude just because he or she doesn't respond to questions or directions in an audible way)
  • They are usually acutely artistic, observant, academically advanced and socially adept … but most have difficulty demonstrating these skills in a manner acceptable to' the system'
  • They are not 'ADD' (Attention Deficit Disorder) or 'ADHD' (Attention Deficit Hyper Disorder) and should NOT be treated or medicated as such … I mean, would you give your child a line of cocaine each morning before school? The medication prescribed to 'sufferers' of ADD and ADHD is classed by the U.S. FDTA alongside Heroin and Cocaine. Yet, there are classrooms in America where every child is medicated every morning with this drug.
  • They should be nurtured, inspired and encouraged but not treated as different as or better than any one else. Being a Warrior does not afford any excuse to act up or intentionally buck the system
  • They need, want and respect boundaries that are consistent and fair
  • They look to their parents as role models and they expect them to act as such
  • They are incredibly intolerant of those who display hypocrisy, ignorance and arrogance
  • They do not respond to fear based control or disciplinary techniques
  • They carry the Capuchin Monkey as their Power Aspect, Animal Spirit Ally and Totem

Based entirely on Scott's new book, 'KIDS! Indigo Children and Cheeky Monkeys; a guide for the modern parent', you will:

  • Be reintroduced to your child for the warrior that they are, instead of seeing them labelled as a nuisance and trouble maker
  • For the first time, have your child's behaviour explained (and celebrated) in a practical, tangible and positive way
  • See your child as an aware, enlightened being, destined to become one of tomorrow's spiritual warriors
  • Meet other Indigo Warrior Children; individuals who have survived childhood despite being diagnosed and labelled as ADD or ADHD
  • Learn what determines a Indigo Warrior Child, while learning more about the four other children outlined in Scott's book including the Nature Children, Golden Children, Peacekeeper Children and Winter Children
  • Hear what the drugs used to 'treat' today's children have been compared to, how they dramatically hinder the healthy development of your child and what the long term affects may be
  • Learn how to support your child, how to encourage them to achieve their best and how to adapt their diet and home environment so as to avoid the problems faced in the past
  • By participating in this seminar, I offer you the chance to take the time to get to know your child better by first getting to know yourself.
